Volunteers Needed for the Kinetic Triathlon

We're looking for additional volunteers. You may sign up to help on Saturday 9/21, Sunday 9/22 or both! Come watch some amazing athletes and help ensure their safety on the water. We have spare kayaks. If you need to borrow one, we can arrange it.

LACA is again providing volunteer help to provide safety resources for the Kinetic Triathlon at LKA State Park on September 21-22. LACA has been asked to provide swim marshals who will be stationed around the race lanes in kayaks ready to provide a resting platform should an athlete need assistance. You may volunteer for Saturday, Sunday or both. Swim marshals are to arrive at 7 am with their kayak, paddle, life vest and water bottle ready to be on the lake. Come on out and get a front row seat for the swimming portion of the triathlon! You are welcome to stay and watch the rest of the event too.

Entry to the park is free for volunteers and you may park near the boat ramp (to the right of the beach and concession stand). T-shirts, snacks, drink and lunch will be provided to volunteers. These volunteer hours can count towards your high schooler's community service requirement.

We're looking for at least 10 volunteers for each day.
